Leaders for Economic Change has started!
Ambitious students and young professionals are daily confronted with the tension field of making a career, earning money and striving for a more sustainable and equitable world. Can you combine global citizenship with making a career? Are money and sustainability like water and fire or the contrary?
To answer these questions, CREM has developed the Leaders for Economic Change programme together with Amsterdam Bright City and the university board of the VU-University. Participants are presented with an intensive teaching and training programme, focusing on learning, understanding, interaction and experience. Leaders of today, including professor Herman Wijffels, share their vision, inspiration and passion and hand on the torch to the participants.
The participants are challenged to co-create their own vision on leadership and the economy in 2030 as a group. The visions developed are presented to a professional jury comprised of among others Thecla Bodewes (Business woman 2011), Marjan Minnesma (Director Urgenda) and Rens van Tilburg (senior researcher SOMO, member of sustainable finance lab). The winning group will present the outcome of the complete teaching and training programme in the form of an action plan at a prominent international platform.
